Speech and Language Therapy can be appropriate for children and adults with many problems including the following difficulties:

  • speech sound difficulties – dyspraxia, phonological delay/disorder, articulation difficulties

  • delay in understanding language – e.g. vocabulary, grammar or instructions

  • delay in spoken language – difficulties with vocabulary, recalling words, sentence construction

  • poor attention and listening skills

  • dysfluency (stammering/stuttering)

  • social and communication - difficulties with the unspoken rules of interaction

Therapy is designed to be fun and stimulating for the client.  Emphasis is placed on giving parents/carers the confidence to continue working with the client between sessions.
